Summer often disrupts routines. Students take breaks, momentum slows, and something that once felt consistent can start to fade. For some, it becomes easy to step away entirely. For others, it feels like there is never quite the right time to begin.
But growth does not have to stop just because the schedule changes.
Our 8-week summer Bharatanatyam sessions in Maryland are designed to help you stay connected to your practice in a way that is flexible, focused, and meaningful. Whether you are continuing your training or exploring Bharatanatyam for the first time, this is an opportunity to build strength, refine technique, and reconnect with expression without the pressure of a long-term commitment.
Through small group classes and private lessons, students maintain their discipline, confidence, and a connection to the art form that they love! The shorter format allows you to stay engaged over the summer while still giving you space to explore at your own pace.

Alongside movement, they are introduced to foundational theory, including basic hand gestures (hastas) and slokas, helping them understand the art beyond just steps.

Students at the Intermediate level have completed their foundational training and continue to refine it while expanding into traditional repertoire. At this stage, dancers begin to deepen their understanding of structure, rhythm, and expression, transitioning from foundational learning into more developed performance skills.
